
Seville’s, the legendary Spanish tapas bar and restaurant located at Wafi, will be hosting a spectacular Flamenco Festival from the 25th-28th April, 2011.
The evening will include a host of electrifying performances from traditional Spanish dancers – España Bravo Flamenco – flown in especially from Spain. Combined with a sumptuous 3-course Spanish menu, this event celebrates all that is authentically Spanish.
The Flamenco Festival is priced at Dhs145 per person inclusive of a 3-course Spanish menu, and a glass of Cava. Performances start at 9pm every evening throughout the festival. The Flamenco dancers will also be making a special appearance at Peanut Butter Jam on Friday, 29th April.

Chef Mario Coelho, Sous Chef of Medzo, has been awarded a gold and a bronze medal by the Emirates Culinary Guild in the annual cooking competition held from the 27 February, 2011 until 03 March, 2011.
Chef Coelho was awarded gold for his efforts in the ‘Practical Cookery for Poultry’ category, and bronze in the ‘Five Course Dinner Menu’ category in this year’s Emirates Salon Culinary event. The event was held in conjunction with the annual Gulf Food Exhibition, and over 1000 chefs from all over the UAE and GCC took part in the competition.

Seville’s, the legendary Spanish tapas bar located in Wafi, welcomes a new restaurant manager to their team. Mariano Andrés Puerta, originally part of the opening team for Seville’s in 2001, returns as the restaurant’s new manager after leaving Dubai five years ago.

Wafi’s much-loved ‘Opera in the Park’ will return on Wednesday, 30 March, 2011, with British opera singers Foley and Hepburn performing live on the picturesque rooftop gardens.
Foley and Hepburn who originally teamed up in 2004, hail from London’s Covent Garden, and will perform a series of pop opera classics, accompanied by Kyla Lingley and special guest dancer Melanie Simpson.
Tickets are priced at Dhs 145 per person, and are inclusive of a quintessential picnic basket per couple, featuring delicious Scottish smoked salmon with apple, celery and walnut salad, mature cheddar cheese with homemade chutney, a tasty selection of sandwiches and a delicious chocolate dessert.

The New Year is set to get off to a safer start thanks to the new Drive Safe campaign from Wafi and Saferdriver. Throughout the month of January, guests at any of Wafi’s 12 bars and restaurants can enjoy a 20% discount on their fare to any destination in Dubai.
